There in the sky, it’s a bird, it’s a plane… No it’s Kaija and Dave.

We have settled into Fulham and love the area. Lots there heap of great restaurants and shops so there is plenty of activities to keeps us busy. Lots of Aussies and Kiwi’s around, so all the pubs play AFL and Rugby Union games. All in all it makes the place very familiar.

My work is going well. There seem to be seeing to send me on a different training course every week. The latest is in Sheffield. I leave Tuesday night for the training on Wednesday. No chance for site seeing but hopefully there will be lots to see out of the train on the trip.

The weather over the weekend has been incredible which dovetailed nicely with a packed weekend. Yesterday we went into the heart of the city for some shopping – starting at the sports store Lillywhites, then we went to Hamleys (http://www.hamleys.com/) and finally a long wander through Oxford Street.

Last night we booked in for our champagne flight on the London Eye – thanks Tour Hosts! We were on an 8pm “flight” and it was perfect. It was lovely and clear and as we were going round the city’s lights started turning on – it was an amazing way to see London and gave us a better perspective of the city layout.

The summer atmosphere was on display as we walked along Southbank. There were lots of people out and about. The best part was a dance party on the banks of the Thames. There about a hundred people that had brought their own drinks, dancing in front of a group of professional DJs. David wants to check out their website so he can go to the next one.

Today was fairly laid back day, we did play squash for this afternoon. We have been invited to a couple of squash games but thought we should get some practise in first (well for David it was getting practise and for me it was really just learning how to play). It was good fun.

Missing everyone so make sure you keep in touch!

Happy Birthday Penny, we hope you had a great day.

(PS – We will post the photos tomorrow, when David brings the USB cable home. There are some great photos from the London Eye).
